General Donation

Your donation makes the USPCA's work possible, and helps local regions across the nation provide support to law enforcement officers and their dogs to provide better service to their communities.

Mission Statement

To expand and support the goals of The United States Police Canine Association, Inc and to serve public safety by securing and providing necessary financial and programmatic resources needed to conduct educational and training programs and perform research and;

To assist, where additive to existing programs, and otherwise support public safety agencies to effectively and efficiently carry out their missions.

Vision

The Foundation shall gather and marshal the resources of sponsors, private partners, USPCA members and other supporters to provide funds for innovative programs that produce state of the art research, education, and survivor support resulting in progressive solutions that enhance and improve public safety, security and quality of life in our global community.

Promise

The Foundation will facilitate resource acquisition to address law enforcement needs guided by our sense of vision, mission, values, and goals. We will seek to invest in innovative and aggressive programs and our response to the art and science of policing utilizing the trained K-9's will be timely, efficient and beneficial.

Goals and Objectives

  • Identify programs or initiatives with a great likelihood of positive impact on the canine programs in the public safety community that lack necessary funding, and provide the support for those programs to develop and succeed.
  • Develop funding through partnerships with corporate, private, government, and other sources
  • Focus on programs that are consistent with the goals, mission and strategic plan of the USPCA

2006 - 2007 Foundation Board of Officers and Board of Directors

The number of Directors shall be seven. The Board of Directors shall be constituted as follows:

  1. The National President, National Treasurer, and Executive Director of the United States Police Canine Association shall be automatically appointed to the Board of Directors for terms continuous with their terms of office in the United States Police Canine Association.
  2. Two members of the Board of Directors shall be elected by the Directors described in (A) from the membership of the United States Police Canine Association; provided however such Directors shall not be members of the Executive Board or Committee or members of a Regional or District board of the United States Police Canine Association.
  3. The five Directors appointed or elected in (A) and (B) above shall elect two members of the Board of Directors who are not members of the United States Police Canine Association, but whose background and experience reflect an interest in the area of Police Canine.
